| Waysia industrial co., ltd. was formed by the association of two pioneering technical-entrepreneurs from taiwan, mr. y. s. chen and mr. f. l. chang, mr. chen, a highly qualified metallurgist and foundryman started mei ta industrial co., ltd. in 1977, taoyuan taiwan, to produce castings. since then, mei ta has successfully become a supplier of quality castings in the global market, mr. chang, an innovative mechanical engineer with brief industrial experience, started sure machinery co ltd in 1978 to design and manufacture special tooling, jigs and fixtures, metal cutting machines and special purpose machinery. the sure product range later on expanded to include cnc machine tools and complete production line machines, waysia was founded in 1991 in chiayi taiwan, as a member of the mei ta group, with mr chen as director and mr chang as general manager. the objective of establishing waysia was to pursue and further the activities of those of sure machinery. waysia has evolved into a well-equipped design and manufacturing company and has been offering customized and cost-effective solutions to its customers, the corporate goal of mei ta group is to achieve growth through excellence and customer satisfaction in its chosen fields of activity. in pursuit of this, mei ta has set up a modern foundry with machining facilities, employing the latest techniques, machines and equipment. it is a flexible manufacturing unit capable of producing up to 2000 tons of castings per month. the castings are in different size and quanty. casting piece weight ranges from less than 500 gs to 5000 kgs per piece, waysia's product line include a range of cnc lathes from small gantry-type machines to large machines with swing 1800 mm and z-axis travel 5 metres, single and twin spindle vertical cnc lathes, special purpose machinery for the automobile motor-cycle, bicycle, jack and lock industries. in addition to domestic users, waysia-built machines are being used by satisfied customers in usa, mainland china, india, turkey and thailand. waysia's expertise is marked by several domestic and overseas patents in nc apparatus, servo system and machine devices. today waysia is emerging to become one of the best manufacturers of piston rings machinery, the total investment of mei ta group is usd 40 million. the group has ambitious plans to broaden its international market and double its turnover by the year 2003.¡@ |
