PRE has Automated Hoist Designs of several types - Overhead, Side Arm, and Low Profile Rail Rider. All are designed to handle barrels, racks, rotating fixture or baskets. Each hoist is equipped with variable drive and lift. The typical hoist includes a stainless steel hoist/cart weldment base that mounts the lift motor, transfer motor and gear box combination, lift shaft, polyester belt, stainless steel guide columns, belt spools, belt slack sensor assembly, drive wheels and axles. The lift/transfer unit is a SEW Eurodrive Mounting Plate Adapter. brake motor with a combination helical bevel gear reducer.
In operation, the transfer motor rotates a shaft which is keyed in the transfer gear box with three bearing supports, and rotates the drive shaft that provides the linear motion of the hoist cart by driving a pair of wheels which ride in overhead channels. Another motor and gear box combination operates the lift shaft which rotates two belt spools, guided by two stainless steel tube and roller guide assemblies, to raise and lower the lift arm that carry the racks or barrels of parts. If required we will provide stainless steel Base and Hoist Support Structure.
PRE has developed multi-feature assembly for hoist systems. These additional options includes a Liner screw motor assembly can pick up 2 racks in a same time, Emergency safety circuits for lift overtravel, transfer overtravel and stop when collide with others, Self-Cleaning, High Conductance, Liquid-Fed DC Saddles with a rack agitation.
PRE's Automated Hoists are available using a wide range of PLC's and PC based control systems programmed to your specific needs. Process control, data logging, and random loading systems areavailable. Limit switches located on the hoist and matched with the proper corresponding switches at the tank locations provide automatically finds correct location without under/over travel.
If required high accuracy (+/- .04 inches) we will provide laser and infra-red positioning systems(Made USA/Germany) that utilize rotary encoders for hoist feedback accuracy. However, in most applications, the simplicity, low maintenance and dependable accuracy of mechanical limit switch locating is preferable.
PRE's sofeware and controls has a standard PLC and computer-based interface that uses a color touch screen to display system status, maintenance and diagnostic prompt screens and trouble-shooting messages. |
